Welcome to Read Meeting Navigator, an app that helps you direct better meetings with real-time metrics. To get started, we’ve provided some details on how to access Meeting Navigator and what to expect when using the App during your meetings as either a host or a meeting attendee.
Read Meeting Navigator is currently available for Zoom, Teams, and Webex Meetings. While the metrics and reporting functionality are the same across each video conferencing solution, the mechanics of using the app are slightly different for each one, so please be sure to refer to the instructions specific to the platform you are using.

When using Webex, the meeting host can activate the Read Meeting Navigator App without having to install any software. Read has a detailed article on activating Meeting Navigator for Webex. Note that only hosts are able to activate the app in Webex, but they are able to share Meeting Navigator with meeting attendees.

Once launched, Meeting Navigator will start measuring the meeting and metrics will begin to populate shortly.

Once the meeting ends, the app will close automatically.
Using the Meeting Navigator App for Zoom
The Meeting Navigator App for Zoom is accessible in two ways:
- Install Read Meeting Navigator for Zoom
- Invite Meeting Navigator to your meeting and a web link will be shared in the Chat section of Zoom. Read a detailed article on accessing the Meeting Navigator for Zoom via web link
*Note that you may need your Zoom account owner or admin to enable Zoom Apps and/or pre-approve the Read Meeting Navigator App before you can install the app. See more information on setting up Zoom Apps for your account.
There are three ways for hosts to launch the Read Meeting Navigator App for Zoom once they have installed the app.
- Start a New Zoom meeting, then add the Meeting Navigator App
- Open the Meeting Navigator App in Zoom, then start a new Zoom meeting

Using the Read Meeting Navigator App for Teams
When attending a Teams meeting, the Read Meeting Navigator App can be added to your meeting by selecting "more actions" at the top of your screen, then selecting "+ Add an app." Search for Read Meeting Navigator and select "Add". You then select "Save" and Meeting Navigator will be added to your meeting without having to install any software. Read has a detailed article on activating Read Meeting Navigator for Teams.

Get tips about different ways to use Read to direct better meetings
Any attendee can opt out of measurement by typing “opt out” into the meeting chat box. If someone opts out, Meeting Navigator will leave the meeting and measurement will end for everyone.
Once the meeting ends attendees will have access to a high-level recap of the meeting.
