The Read AI MCP server is a remote Model Context Protocol server that gives AI assistants standardized access to your Read AI meeting data and capabilities. This article walks through how to connect it to your ChatGPT account, which also enables using it in Codex and ChatGPT Workspace Agents.
Once connected, your ChatGPT and Codex agents can browse recent meetings, access your transcripts and other meeting details, deploy a Read AI meeting agent to record a Teams, Zoom, or Meet video call, and share your meeting reports with others.
Before you begin
You'll need:
- A Read AI account. You'll sign in with it during setup, and ChatGPT will only be able to access meetings and reports that your account already has permission to see.
- A ChatGPT account with permission to connect Plugins.
Steps to Connect:
- Log in to ChatGPT
- Navigate to Plugins
- Search for "Read AI", or alternatively go directly to the Read AI listing
- Click on the Install plugin button
-
If prompted, review the information (the 'Reference memories and chats' checkbox is optional), and click Continue to Read AI
-
Review the permissions being requested and click on Allow Access
