Transcription models especially struggle with words that aren’t in a standard dictionary, like the names of people, companies, and products, or industry jargon, acronyms, and abbreviations.
If Read keeps getting certain words wrong in your transcripts or notes, add the correct spelling to your Custom Vocabulary. Read will then be better at recognizing those words in future transcripts.
Note: Custom Vocabulary is available on paid plans only.
Add words to your Custom Vocabulary
- Go to Account Settings > Custom Vocabulary.
- Add the word or term.
- Choose whether it’s a person’s name, a product name, or other jargon.
You can add up to 100 words or terms.
To remove a word, click the red trash icon next to it.
Changes only apply to new meeting reports. Existing transcripts aren’t updated.
Workspace Custom Vocabulary
Workspace admins can also add custom vocabulary for the whole Workspace in Workspace Settings > Settings. This is useful for terms everyone in your organization uses, like company, product, or team names.
Workspace terms apply to every member’s transcripts in addition to their own Custom Vocabulary.
