Ada, Read AI’s Executive Assistant, can answer questions about your meetings and help you get ready for upcoming ones. This article covers what Ada can answer and which meetings it can see.
What meeting questions can Ada answer?
Ada can answer questions about any meeting captured by Read AI that you have access to. For example:
- “What did we decide in last week’s project sync?”
- “What action items came out of my meeting with Sarah on Monday?”
- “What timeline did we agree on for the Q3 launch?”
- “Summarize what I missed in yesterday’s team standup.”
- “What have I discussed with [client name] in our last few meetings?”
Ada doesn’t just search for keywords. It works out what you’re asking, finds the relevant parts of your transcripts, and puts together an answer.
Do I need Ask Read turned on for Ada to answer meeting questions?
No. Any Read AI user can ask Ada about their captured meetings. Ada uses meeting transcripts, summaries, action items, and key decisions directly from Read AI.
Ask Read is a separate feature that lets Ada also use your other connected sources, such as email, chat, documents, and your CRM.
Can Ada help me prepare for upcoming meetings?
Yes. Ada can pull together context for an upcoming meeting, such as:
- What you discussed in previous meetings with the same people
- Open action items related to those people or topics
- Key decisions from related past conversations
- Relevant information from your connected sources, if Ask Read is set up

Which meetings can Ada see?
Ada can only see meetings you already have access to in Read AI. This includes your own meeting reports and reports shared with you, such as those in shared folders or shared with your team or Workspace. Ada can’t see meetings you don’t have access to.
What if I ask about a meeting Read AI didn’t capture?
Ada can only answer questions about meetings Read AI has processed. These include:
- Meetings where Read joined the call
- Meetings recorded with the Read AI desktop or mobile app, such as in-person meetings or calls where Read didn’t join
If a meeting wasn’t captured in one of these ways, Ada won’t have its transcript or summary, and it will tell you it doesn’t have information about that meeting.
Can Ada find and track action items?
Yes. Ada can find action items from your meeting transcripts. You can ask Ada about your action items, and it can help you follow up, for example by scheduling time to finish a task or drafting a follow-up email.
Ada may also suggest next steps after a meeting, such as reviewing action items, drafting follow-up emails, or scheduling a follow-up meeting.
