Ada isn't responding to emails. What should I check?
Ada replies anytime between 1 to 5 minutes. If you have not received a reply from Ada after 5 minutes, it could be due to the any of the following reasons:
-
Does the user have a Read AI account?
Ada requires an active account.
-
Is ada@read.ai on the email thread?
Ada must be CC'd or directly emailed.
-
SPF/DKIM/DMARC issues
If the sender's email domain fails authentication, messages may be dropped.

Ada was removed from the thread
Ada cannot continue a task when it has been removed from the thread.
Ada scheduled a meeting at the wrong time. What should I do?
Users can delete the incorrect calendar event
Users can reply to Ada on the thread to correct the error and request rescheduling.
Users can use the sidebar to provide guidance and redirect Ada.
Ada incorporates feedback immediately and applies it to future interactions.
If this is a systemic issue (e.g., time zone consistently wrong), please reach out to support@read.ai
Ada shared information it shouldn't have. What happened?
It’s incredibly unlikely for that to occur, there is likely a logical reason for that to occur. For example, not all users realize that they had access to certain data.
Ada gave an incorrect or hallucinated answer. What should I do?
Ada is AI-powered and will sometimes get things wrong. Our philosophy is to make mistakes visible, correctable, and instructive:
You can correct Ada directly in the email thread or via the sidebar. Ada will incorporate corrections immediately.
If the issue seems systematic (repeated hallucinations, wrong sources), please reach out to support@read.ai with screenshots and thread details (optional).
My email to Ada is being dropped / not received. What could be wrong?
This is most commonly caused by SPF/DKIM/DMARC authentication failures on the your domain. When your email fails these checks, Ada may drop the message to prevent spoofing. You should check with your IT team to ensure your domain's email authentication records are properly configured. We have an article for your IT team:
How can I opt out of Ada's proactive emails?
You can tell Ada your preferences directly via email , for example:
Reply with "Stop sending me proactive emails about my calendar".
Ada would remember this from now on.
I am on a thread and I don't want Ada involved. What can I do?
The user who "owns" Ada controls whether Ada is on a thread. Other participants cannot independently remove Ada. The owner can:
Remove Ada from the CC line on subsequent emails.
Tell Ada to stop participating in the thread.
Adjust their preferences to limit Ada's proactive behavior.
