Read provides two simple ways for users to post their meeting recaps to Slack: automatic and manual. Before you can take advantage of these, your Read account must be connected to Slack.
Connecting to Slack
The easiest way to connect to Slack is through the Integrations page. See:
Automatic Sharing
Once connected, you have some options for how meeting notes will get automatically shared (or not) in Slack. You can find these from the Slack integration settings, or by going to Account Settings > Report Sharing > Report Distribution:
Meeting Reports can be sent to one of three destination options:
- "Only me" — Read AI will send you a DM
- "People with access" — Read AI will send individual DMs to anyone who gets access to the report (which is typically people who were invited to the meeting). Note that this will only work for people who are in your Slack workspace.
- "Send to a channel" — Read AI will send all your notes to a specific channel of your choosing. Note that only public channels are supported at this time.
Meeting Pre-Reads have all the same options as Meeting Reports.
When Read AI sends as a DM, you can find it in the "Apps" section or by simply searching for Read AI in Slack:
Post to Slack
You can manually share specific meeting reports to Slack with the push of a button. As long as Slack is connected and you have editor permission on the report, you should be able to click this button at the top right:
A dialog will pop up where you can choose to post the recap to a specific channel:
Note that in order to post to private channels, you will first need to add the Read AI bot/app to the channel. Posting to direct messages is not currently supported.
