Ask Read and Read AI Agents
- Ask Read works in all the languages Read supports. It answers in the language you ask in, or you can ask for an answer in another language. See Using Ask Read to search your meetings and connected apps.
- Post-Meeting Recap and Topics agents are available in all of Read AI's supported languages.
- Monday Briefing agent is currently only available in English.
For more about agents, see How to Enable Read AI Agents.
What if I speak multiple languages?
For meeting reports, Read will automatically detect which language is being spoken primarily during the meeting and then use that language when generating the transcript and notes. Meetings where multiple different languages are spoken are not fully supported by Read and may produce inconsistent results.
If you have a preferred language, you can set it as your Output Language:
- Go to Account Settings > Report Content.
- Open the Output Language drop-down (the default is Auto-Detected) and choose your preferred language.
Changing the Output Language also changes the language others see for reports you own.
To change the language of the Read app itself, go to Account Settings > Profile & Account and set your Default Language.
For Readouts, Read will automatically detect the language used across all of your connected sources. If the predominant language is not a supported language, no Readouts will be generated.
What if my language isn't supported?
If a meeting is in an unsupported language, Read can't create a report for it, and the meeting will appear on your Reports > Incomplete tab. See What is the "Incomplete" tab under Reports?
We intend to continue expanding support of all features to more languages. If you have a specific request for language support, please contact Read Support, as our team takes user demand into account when deciding which languages to prioritize.
