Q: How does this integration work?
The latest update from Read AI gives customers new feature functionality that adds unparalleled value to their workflow. Currently, customers can ask Search Copilot for insights from meetings and connected services including Slack, Microsoft Teams, Notion, Jira, Confluence, HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Drive, and Microsoft OneDrive and Microsoft OneNote. With this update, paying customers now also get access to premium models from OpenAI and Anthropic.
Q: Can ChatCPT or Claude search across my Read AI meeting content?
A: Today, Search Copilot and access to ChatGPT and Claude are separate searches. When a customer searches within ChatGPT or Claude, the service is relying solely on up-to-date information from the open web, not an individual’s connected services and meeting data. However we know that customers want to be able to incorporate details from external search within Search Copilot, and that functionality will be coming soon.
Q: Does Read AI use ChatGPT or Claude to power any features within Read?
A: Although Read primarily uses in-house Machine Learning models to provide our services, about 10% of our processing tasks—the final conversational layer, and now external search— are outsourced to services like ChatGPT and Claude. Read has strict Data Processing Agreements with OpenAI and Anthropic that include zero re-use of data, zero retention, and HIPAA compliance so your data has the same privacy-focused safeguards as when you’re using Read without a 3rd party LLM.
Q: I am a workspace admin. Can I block access to other LLMs (ChatGPT and/or Claude)?
A: At this time, external searching cannot be turned off on the workspace level. Please file a ticket here if you would like to request this feature.
