Overview
Read offers two ways to connect HubSpot: at the individual user level and at the workspace (organization-wide) level. The workspace version allows admins to connect HubSpot once for the entire team, ensuring consistent access, streamlined setup, and unified data management across your organization.

- Reduced duplication: Helps prevent multiple users from syncing the same meetings or contacts redundantly.
How to Enable Workspace HubSpot Integration
- Admin Access Required: Only Read workspace admins can enable the workspace-level integration.
- In Read, go to Integrations > Workspace > HubSpot.
- Click the "Connect" button. You'll be notified if users already connected HubSpot at the individual level, as the workspace integration will take precedence over those.
- Authorize HubSpot: Follow the prompts to sign in to HubSpot and grant access. You will need to either be a Super Admin or have the "App Marketplace Access" permission in HubSpot.
- Configure Settings: Set preferences for data syncing, and whether to create new contacts or include meeting transcripts when pushing notes to HubSpot.
- Note: Only workspace members who are users in your HubSpot account (based on their email address) will have auto-push meeting notes enabled by default, but any user can choose to turn this setting on or off.
- All other settings can only be modified by a workspace admin.
- Save and Confirm: Once enabled, all users in your workspace will have access to HubSpot features according to the preferences you set.
What Users Experience
- Users will see HubSpot data and features in Read without needing to connect individually.
- All synced meetings, action items, and CRM recommendations are managed centrally.
- All workspace members will be able to search and prompt against all of the CRM records in HubSpot - user-level access permissions are not reflected with this integration.
Switching from User-Level to Workspace Integration
- If your team previously used user-level connections, enabling workspace integration will override individual setups for a unified experience.
- Existing user-level connections will be overridden and disconnected to avoid duplication.
Troubleshooting & Tips
- Only workspace admins can enable or modify the workspace integration.
- Ensure you have the necessary HubSpot permissions (typically Super Admin) to authorize the connection.
- For security, review which users have access to sensitive CRM data via Read.
- If you encounter issues, try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration, or contact Read support.
