Applying a template
You can apply a report template to structure a meeting report around a specific meeting type, framework, or workflow.
- Open a meeting report.
- Open the Templates dropdown.
- Select a template.
The template is first applied to your personal view only. Nothing changes for anyone else.
If you ever want to return to the original default template, Read AI Recap, you can always available in the template picker
Personal vs. Shared views
Every meeting report has two views:
- Personal view: Visible only to you. This view is updated first when you apply a template.
- Shared view: Visible to everyone with access to the report. This view changes only when an owner or editor subsequently publishes a personal view.
You can try different templates in your personal view without affecting teammates or external viewers, such as customers or prospects.
Publish a template to the Shared view
When you’re ready to make your template and report layout visible to everyone:
- Open the Templates dropdown.
- Select Set as Shared View.
- Confirm that you want to update the shared view.
You’ll also be prompted to set the template as the shared view immediately after applying it. You can confirm the prompt or dismiss it and publish your view later.
Only meeting report owners and editors can update the shared view.
Additional considerations
- View indicator: The meeting report indicates whether you’re viewing your personal view or the shared view. You can switch between them at any time.
- Editing a template: Changes to a template affect everyone who uses that template. Read AI displays a reminder before you save your changes.
- Pushing a report to a CRM: When you push a meeting report to a connected CRM, Read AI sends your personal view. This lets you maintain an external-friendly shared view while sending your preferred report format to the CRM.
