Most Read users are familiar with the meeting reports that you receive after a meeting is over, but some users may not be aware that you can also view metrics and other analysis of your meeting in real-time during the meeting:
This app, also known as the Meeting Tools and Metrics, provides live updates for a few key metrics during your meeting, namely:
- The sentiment, engagement, and overall Read scores
- The rate of filler words, like "um" and "uh"
- Average talk speed (words per minute)
- The distribution of talk time across participants
How to view the metrics
There are a couple of different ways to access the Meeting Tools and Metrics app, depending on your video conferencing platform.
Using Read's Zoom or Teams app
If your meeting is on Zoom or Microsoft Teams, then you can use the native Read app on these platforms to access the live Meeting Tools and Metrics:
Simply open the app during a meeting that you have added Read to, and you'll be able to see the metrics in the app window.
Using the Link in Meeting Chat
If you use Google Meet, or don't want to use the Read App in Zoom/Teams for whatever reason, you can also access the Meeting Tools and Metrics by enabling the "Link in Meeting Chat" option under Account Settings > Reporting. Just toggle this option on:
With this option enabled, Read will include a link in the message that it sends to the chat at the start of the meeting. If you click this link during the meeting, it will open the Meeting Tools and Metrics for that meeting in your web browser.
Just be aware that this link will be shared with anyone who can see the meeting chat, and that this link can also be used to access the meeting report after the meeting (as long as the user has been granted access via the owner's sharing settings).
