This page explains how to enable Readouts for your account. To learn more about Readouts, see this article.
Readouts are currently available to all Read users on any plan (free or paid), and should only take a minute to enable for your account.
Supported platforms
Readouts currently support Gmail and Outlook for email, and Slack and Teams for messaging.
If you would like to see additional apps/platforms added to this list, please reach out to the Read Support Team to share your feedback.
Enabling Readouts for your account
New users are recommended to connect one or more of the Readout integrations when first creating their account:
If you skipped this, or signed up before Readouts were released, you can enable them (or disable them) at any time from your Account Settings > Integrations page:
To enable, just toggle on the switch and go through the authentication process with the external app.
You can also connect and manage these integrations from your Apps & Integrations page:
If any of these options show as disabled, you will need to ask a Workspace admin to enable the integration (see below).
After connecting a new integration, it may take some time to generate your first report. You can check your Reports page for progress, and this is also where you'll find your Readouts once they start getting generated and updated:
Here you'll also see a couple of sample reports you can view in the meantime - these will automatically disappear once you start getting actual Readouts.
Enabling Readouts for your Workspace
By default, Readouts are not enabled for Workspaces. A Workspace admin can enable them (for some or all of the different platforms) by going to Manage Workspace > Settings and expanding the Integrations section:
Then, just scroll down to the Productivity section and toggle on the switch for each of the integrations you want to enable:
Note that users in your Workspace will still need to go through the process of connecting and enabling it for their own account (see above).
Sharing your Readouts
By default, Readouts are not shared with others and are completely private to your account. You can choose to share them with other Read users (or later un-share them) using the "Share" button at the top of the report.
You can also share Readouts directly in Slack/Teams, or via email using the "Send Via..." button on the Readout. This allows you to customize which information is included in the associated report:
