Q: How does this integration work?
Ask Read lets you search for answers across your meetings, the web, and the services you’ve connected. These include Slack, Microsoft Teams, Notion, Confluence, HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Gmail, and Outlook. On paid plans, you can also choose premium models from OpenAI (ChatGPT) and Anthropic (Claude) in Ask Read.
Q: Can ChatGPT or Claude search across my Read AI meeting content?
Yes, depending on how you use them:
- ChatGPT or Claude models inside Ask Read: When you pick one of these models in Ask Read, it searches the web for current information. It does not search your meetings or connected services. To search those, use Ask Read’s standard mode.
- The ChatGPT or Claude app, through the Read AI MCP Server: The Read AI MCP Server connects ChatGPT or Claude to your Read AI account. Once it’s connected, you can ask about your meetings from inside ChatGPT or Claude. To set it up, see:
Q: Does Read AI use ChatGPT or Claude to power any features within Read?
Read mostly uses its own machine learning models. Some tasks, such as the final conversational layer and web search, use services like ChatGPT and Claude. Read has Data Processing Agreements with OpenAI and Anthropic that don’t allow them to reuse or retain your data. That means your data keeps the same privacy safeguards as when you use Read without a third-party model.
Q: I am a workspace admin. Can I block access to other LLMs (ChatGPT and/or Claude)?
Yes. Go to Workspace Settings > Settings > Ask Read, then turn off any Enabled Ask Read LLM Modes you don’t want your workspace members to use.
