February 2 2026 Live Notes with Microsoft OneNote feature had been deprecated. If you rely on real-time visibility, you can continue using the Read AI live dashboard. Read AI no longer streams live transcription and summaries to Google Docs or OneNote. Instead, your full meeting report will be automatically saved to your connected Google Docs or Microsoft OneNote account after the meeting ends, once processing is complete. |
There are a few ways to automate pushing meeting reports with Read AI - this article will explain how to push meeting reports to Microsoft OneNote, but you can see below for other methods.
Enabling the Microsoft OneNote integration
Automatically saving your meeting notes to OneNote is easy, simply locate Microsoft OneNote on your Integrations page and click Connect:
After going through the authorization with Microsoft to grant the necessary permission, you'll get sent back to the Integrations page.
The specific permissions required for the OneNote integration are:
- OPENID
- PROFILE
- USER_READ
- ONENOTE_READ_WRITE
- ONEDRIVE_READ_WRITE
In order for this to automatically push meeting notes to your Microsoft OneNote, you must have the Auto-Save Meeting Notes in OneNote setting turned on:
By default, these notesbooks are only visible to yourself, but you can always adjust the sharing directly from OneNote after they're created.
How it works
Finding your meeting reports on Microsoft OneNote
All meeting reports are written to the default location for new Microsoft OneNote notebooks on your Microsoft OneDrive in a notebook titled Read AI Meeting Notes. Please do not rename or move this notebook, otherwise Read will generate a new one in the same location after the next meeting.

Inside this notebook, there will be a section called Meeting Notes which contains pages for all of your notes. Each page corresponds to a single meeting report, and are named using the date and time of the meeting (in YYYY-MM-DD), followed by the meeting title.
Be aware that if you added Read manually, your title won't get pulled from any calendar event and may be something generic like "Teams Meeting".
Contents of the meeting reports
Each page will look something like this:
Within it, you'll find a few sections:
- Metadata at the top (meeting title, link to read.ai, event time, platform, and participants)
- AI-generated summary, with chapters & topics breakdown
- Action items
- Key questions
- Full transcript
Lastly, remember that if you want to adjust the sharing on this document, just click on the "Share" button at the top right of the Microsoft OneNote interface.
My meeting notes did not push to OneNote, what happened?
Please note that Read will not push incomplete meeting notes to Microsoft OneNote, if the meeting notes are showing up under your Read AI dashboard > Reports > Incomplete, these will not be pushed. You also need to have direct access to the meeting notes. Your meeting note will not push if you only have access to the that meeting note through:
- Will not pushed: workspace's Teams Report Access or Global Access.
- Will not pushed: manually sharing by the report owner after the meeting ends.
Currently, there is no way to manually push meeting notes to Microsoft OneNote if the automatic push failed.

How do I get live notes?
The Microsoft OneNote integration previously supported a live notes feature, which was deprecated in February 2026. If you still want the live summaries or transcript, you can use the live meeting dashboard. There you can view live notes, as well as real-time metrics and access other tools during your meeting.
