If your meeting report doesn’t have a transcript, please check the following:
1. Check whether a report was created
If Read didn’t create a full report for your meeting, check your Incomplete reports page for the reason. Common reasons include:
- Fewer than 50 words were spoken. Read needs at least 50 words to create a report.
- The meeting was in an unsupported language. Read couldn’t transcribe the language spoken.
- You’ve run out of reports for the month. On the Free plan, you get up to 5 meeting reports a month. See Plans & Pricing for other plans’ limits.
For more details, see What is the “Incomplete” tab? and Why didn’t I get a meeting report?.
2. Check your Read settings
Go to Account Settings > Report Content and make sure transcription is turned on.
3. Check your Workspace settings
If you’re in a Workspace, your admin may have turned off transcription. Ask them to review Workspace Settings and Permissions.
4. Zoom: Make sure Read could join and record
On Zoom, Read needs permission to record the meeting before it can create a transcript.
- Connect your Zoom account: Read can only join a Zoom meeting if you’ve connected your Zoom account to Read and you’re in the meeting, signed in to that same Zoom account. See Upcoming Changes to Zoom Meetings.
- Recording permission: If the host denied Read’s request to record, there won’t be a transcript. See How do I enable recording permissions in Zoom?.
